What We've Been Up To

It turns out, raising kids is a full time job :) My days have been filled with hugs and kisses, tears, poop and math homework. It really is a great life, isn't it? I mean really, I get to be with these kids everyday and sure, some days are trying... like when Bubba has a cold and just cries because he can't communicate very well yet, but the kid is adorable. I'll keep him.

Scarlett is amazing as well. The poor kid has to put on two different creams for eczema and has seborrhea (flaky, really flaky scalp). When we visited the doctor two weeks ago, she told us to try Scarlett on a no dairy diet for three weeks to see if her skin issues had to do with a milk sensitivity. Well, we are faithfully in week two. In those two weeks, Scarlett has had to endure two cake and ice-cream laden little girl's birthday parties. Both of which she politely turned down the victuals. She's wonderful.

So, if you don't see me around for days, even weeks at a time, you''l know where I am: running after giggly Bubba and buying soy milk and mozzarella cheese made from vegetables for Scarlett.

I'll pray for Scarlett to have the endurance to endure the non-dairy diet! She's my idol if she can turn down ice cream!

Really...I don't think much in life compares to the reward of being a mommy. We are so very blessed to be women..and wives..and mommies. God knew only WE could handle it all. Love you!!! You are awesome!

Michael favorite is chocolate Almond Milk (the flavored variety, please). It's from Blue Diamond.

I hope this helps her; I have heard of many kids whose eczema cleared up off of dairy.

victuals...good word there ;)

Thanks for the update here Classic.
May I suggest not only dairy for Scarlett - but saturated fats (found in many red-meats and dairy. Plenty of raw veggies and fruits (except citrus)...and more fish.

(just my thoughts)...and for her head...after washing her hair - try a rinse with vinegar..I know, she might smell a little like a pancake - but it actually helps to restore the natural oils in the scalp.

I will be praying for Cate. I know how hard it is to avoid foods while watching others enjoy. It is amazing how many ingredients taste good, but are bad for us...sugar, milk, caffeine, butylated hydroxyanisole etc. Love u guys!

Blessings to all of you!
